Fund
Raising:
The
possibility
of working a
Jackhammers
Game was
discussed
and
discovered
that it
involved
working for
more than
one game as
well as the
question of
insurance
for the
organization
to work a
liquor
stand. The
amount to be
made by any
organization
is 8% from
an alcohol
stand and
10% from a
food stand.
Working the
stand would
involve
training
sessions as
well as a
commitment
to work more
than one
event . The
board will
reconsider
this as an
option.
Much
discussion
was also
about
aquiring
liability
insurance. Quotes
will need to
be
obtained.
Other
possible
fund raising
opportunities
are a
bowling
benefit.
The cost at
Town and
Country runs
$18.00 per
couple with
the best
time to be
Friday or
Saturday
night. The
alley can
accomodate
up to 6
people per
lane and
includes 3
games and
shoe
rental. A
deposit will
be required
to hold
lanes.
Galaxy Lanes
offered a
cheaper rate
as well as a
pizza
included per
lane. 3
games along
with shoe
rental was
also
included in
price. The
board will
consider
this as a
fundraiser
after the
Summer
months.
New
Business:
A Picnic
will be
scheduled
for Saturday
June 20th at
the Inwood
Pavillion
(smaller
one) at 1pm
. More will
be
discussed
at the the
next
meeting.
The intent
is to
include
graduating
Seniors from
both high
schools as
well as the
invitation
to all
alumni. A
dish to pass
will be
required
from Alumni
attending.
Hot
dogs/hamburgers
and buns to
be provided
by BAA. No
alcohol will
be allowed
to keep in
compliance
with the
school
regulations.
David
Gilliam
could be a
possible
candidate to
write a
commemorative
piece for
the High
School Band
for the
Centennial
Celebration.
The Alumni
Association
may consider
a donation
for this
cause if
the Alumni
Band could
also perform
this piece
at their
Centennial
Concert.
More
information
will need to
be available
to determine
how much and
if it is a
possibility.
Ron Nelson
is another
possibility.
The next
session is a
working
session
scheduled
for
Thursday,
March 12th
at JTC to
review new
website.
The next
meeting will
