JTHS BAA MEETING MINUTES FOR MAY 12, 2010

Attendance:  Jan U., Brad U., Gene D., Melissa C.,Megan G., Mary Beth B.
 
The May 12th meeting  was held at JTW at 7pm.  The March 2010 meeting minutes were reviewed and  accepted to include a correction of the spelling of Houbolt Road.  Also  a sentence corrected to read "A check was made out to Gene DiVecchio for  $25.00 for our Webpage."  These minutes were motioned to be accepted  by Jan U. and 2nd by Melissa C.

The Treasurer's Report was reviewed and motion carried to accept by Melissa C. and 2nd by Gene D.
 
2010 PICNIC

Much discussion regarding our 2nd annual picnic to be held June 5th at  the Rock Run Lower Access on Houbolt Rd.  1pm- ? Flyers have been  passed out to JTC and JTW  High School band members.  Our list of foods include:

Information for this picnic  has been in our mailings  as well as  e-mails sent by Jan.  The picnic will be held June 5th, rain or shine with members attending also encouraged to bring a dish to pass.

Future Business:

 A spring mailing will need to be written. It will be a trifold type of newsletter with mention of the High Schools at Superstate as well as information regarding our social events. We received many names to add to our Band Sponsor/ Drum Major List from Dean Sayles. Brad will get an e-mail letter out to the Board to review and respond with any additions or comments to the content or format. This will then be sent out for mailing. We still need to keep going with our membership drive.

It was recommended to encourage a Membership Drive by enticing members to bring in at least 5 new e-mails. Their names could possibly be entered into a drawing to win a gift card. The board will review this as an option. E-mails would need to be valid and not contacts we already have.

There will be a working session on June 8, 2010. Next Monthly meeting will be July 14, 2010 at 7pm at JTW Library.
